* PORNICHET MARKET
Come and test your five senses at Pornichet's local market, opening hours are Saturdays and Wednesdays from 8h30 to 13h. Otherwise the covered market is open every morning from mid-June through mid-September and Tuesday to Sunday mornings for the rest of the year. it is the ideal place to discover and buy fresh local sea products as well as fresh flowers, clothes and holiday souvenirs. * THE SALT FLATS
Listed since 1996, the salt flats are an outstanding World Heritage site.
The landscape is made up of a thousand water mirrors reflecting the long tradition of the salt flat worker throughout time and nature.
* THE BAY OF "LA BAULE"
A good way to get to La Baule and admire the beautiful 10 kilometer long bay is to take the little train at Pornichet port. it runs all year as far as La Baule Casino with several stops on the way and in July and August it goes as far as Croisic Point.
* GUERANDE
A medieval city surrounded by a wall with 10 towers, 4 doors and a postern. The city of Guerande seduces all history geeks. Not to be missed, Saint Anne's Tower, Saint Michel's Door and the Tower of the Abreuvoir. Walk along the small lanes and admire the ancien houses.
* THE PARC DE LA BRIERE
Seas of rushes where water and sky meet, la Brière harbours a remarkable reserve of wildlife. Discover the marshes, the countryside and the briéronne thatched cottages to the rythm of the chaland (traditional barge with a flat bottom) or horse drawn carriage. Visit Kerhinet an authentic XVII village.
